For over 25 years I have worked in various traditional indigenous Irish crafts including, bladesmithing, blacksmithing, stonemasonry, woodwork and leather/hide work.
My preferred medium has always been metal.
I also draw knowledge from my experience as a geologist, historian, guide and Sheanachi (traditional storyteller).
The materials for my creations are sourced locally as much as possible to ensure high quality, traceability, and low carbon footprint.
I prefer to use hand tools as much as possible when working which imparts a uniqueness to each individual piece.
I currently offer blacksmithing, Irish martial arts, instinctive archery , storytelling and land reading experiences at my forge as well as my bladesmithing day course.
I produce craft items, some of which are available here on Irish Hands!
My work draws it’s inspiration from our rich heritage, history, myth and legend, and from the landscape of my home County of Donegal.
I hope that when you take part in one of my experiences or acquire a creation of mine, it helps you to connect with the spirit and ancestry of our beautiful land.
